  1. You need a better camera, all your pictures look exactly the same. Blurry, doesn't look true to colour

  2. I'm sure I'll invest in a better camera one of these days. :-) I assure you that the color you see is the color on me though. I'm not sure what you mean about 'true' color since it would only show true on a stark white background.

  3. I've yet to see another brown skinned blogger pull off pale colors as good as you! HOW DO YOU DO IT, LOL? Seriously, every time I attempt something like this, it always goes ashy :(
What's your secret, or does it all come down to the quality of the shadow?

Also, I personally think your pics show colors just fine ;)

  4. Thank you. :-)

Eh, there's really no secret to it. Going 'pale' on warm skin is simply a matter of creating a version of 'pale' specifically for that skin tone. Every color I used would go 'brown' or brownish gold on a pale skin tone. Those colors stay pale on warm skin, without pulling 'pink' or going ashy.

Pressure is also important. For example, heavy pressure on the Tempting Beige Blush (used in this FOTD) would have caused it to pull pink. But a light touch will keep the color in the 'beige' family and simply warm the skin -- not particularly color it.

When you try to keep every color on the face in the same family (in this case, pale beige)-- understand that you won't be using 'exactly' that color. You cheat the light with different colors and textures, to give the overall illusion of a single color on the face.

Hope that wasn't too esoteric. LOL That's the only way I really know how to explain it.

  6. I like it! It's a good foundation. Great for when I want more of a medium to heavy coverage.
