FOTD: Burnished Rose

Chocolate Brown and Warm Pink is one of my favorite color combinations. It was a gloomy day -- and perfect for such a combination for me:
FACE
Dior Skin Nude Foundation (051)
By Terry Touche Veloutee (center of the face)
Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder
NARS Blush in Gaeity

EYES
NARS Eyeshadow in Mekong (lids)
Chanel Eyeshadow in Twilight (crease)
Louise Young Eyeshadow in Black Bear (lashline)
Dolce & Gabbana Mascara

LIPS
Beaute Weightless Lip Creme in Modern Love

  1. I love this look on you!

I find myself on a constant search for the perfect pink to compliment by brown skin (MAC NW45/NC50; Giorgio Armani #11). I've been wanting to pick up Nars Desire for a while. In your opinion, how does it compare to Gaeity?

    1. eb, NARS Desire is deeper and stronger. I'd definitely recommend it for warmer skin tones. Gaiety is brighter, and more sheer, I think. Desire is definitely the superior blush color. You might also take a look at Mata Hari. It's more of a 'plum' than a candy pink, but looks wonderful on warmer skin tones as well.

    1. Thanks Shontay. That Twilight Shadow just doesn't get enough love from me. It's a lovely warm glitter pink, that translates into more of a 'rose' color on me. I love it.
