I wanted to show you why I changed the Estee Lauder Invisible Makeup shade... and went lighter:
This is the foundation in 5WN1 (we're figuring that the W and the N stand for 'Warm Neutral')... after wearing it for 8 hours. See how it has oxidized? Amanda noticed it when I went to visit her. She says "I love the finish but not the color." Then she showed me my reflection... I'd gone totally bronzey orange. The previous FOTD, when I was wearing this foundation shade, I took that picture at the beginning of my day. So as the day wore on, the foundation got darker.
So we 're-swatched' all of the colors, and found that 4CNI is actually my shade. I swapped one shade out for the next, and now I'm a happy girl.
Here's the rest of the FOTD:
FACE
Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder
IMAN Blush/Highlighter in Afterglow
EYES
Armani ETK Silk Eyeshadow in #2 (lids)
NARS Eyeshadow in Galapagos (crease/under waterline)
MAC Eyeshadow in Brule (browbone)
Chanel Eye Pencil in Cassis (lashline/waterline)
Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Mascara
LIPS
Guerlain Rouge Automatique in Flirt du Jour

Great look!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gauri. :-)
ReplyDeleteSo cute!!
ReplyDeleteThank you lola. :-)
DeleteTo be honest, the extra bronzy-ness doesnt look bad on you at all, lol. But I hate when my foundations oxidize on me in the summer when my skin is oily. Instead of buying a lighter shade, do you think I could use a primer to stop that from happening?
ReplyDeleteXXXX, I get so oily, that I honestly don't think a primer would make much difference.
ReplyDeleteThe good news is, 4CN1 matches perfectly on me and doesn't oxidize at ALL. I think 5WN1 was just too dark. I don't mind a little oxidation if a color is too light... but when it goes way darker than my neck and looks obvious, then I have to go with another shade.
