Mini Haul: Kit Essentials from Kevyn Aucoin

I caught a sale on Gilt -- and snagged an 'essentials' kit from Kevyn Aucoin:

First impressions: I REALLY like the pencils. They are incredibly creamy. The eyeshadow palette is fine, but will likely need a primer to really make the colors stand out. The mascara does NOT curl... anything. If you put it on curled lashes, it simply holds the curl... much like any standard mascara would. I do like the fact that it's a 'tubing' mascara. That means it's smudgeproof, and won't fade. It doesn't come off with cool water... you simply press 'warm' water onto your lashes and the mascara slides right off. I believe Fiberwig makes the most popular version of this mascara.

Overall, it's a decent kit. It's not spectacular, but for what I paid for it ($34), I'm not complaining. I'm sure it'll fit nicely into my makeup collection.
