Two shadows came home with me: Venetian Tarnish and Vintage Coin.
Venetian Tarnish
Vintage Coin
That's what's left after swatching the shadows on my arm. This formula is dense... not greasy or slippery at all. It will likely take some work to blend out.. the lack of slip is noteworthy. But I think that the formula has to be dry enough, to ensure high pigmentation and lasting power. I rather like these shadows. These were my favorite colors. I think though, that I may go back for more.

All MAC collections are amazing and this collection is very gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI bought one of the shadows, too but I was so disappointed. With a primer or without, it faded badly. It's weird b/c I can wear paint pots and things without primer and they last all day. This thing just creased with half an hour.
ReplyDeleteThat is NOT good news Shontay! Especially since your skin is drier than mine. I'm going to try them in my next FOTD and see how they perform.
ReplyDeleteI think Venetian Tarnish would look great on me! If only I could afford MAC! Lol!
ReplyDeleteBoth of those colors look gorgeous! I'm a bit wary of the Metal X shadows having brought one when they were first released in 07. The formula of the original versions was so freakin hard and a pain to apply and blend, but your swatches are making me want to give them another try!
ReplyDeleteI'm wearing Venetian Tarnish today... and so far so good. I found that it applies best with fingers... in thin layers. We'll see how it holds up on these oily lids.
ReplyDeleteI love those colors, but I am hearing so many complaints about these metal cream shadows that I'm afraid to get into them :(
ReplyDeleteMine is still holding up, with very mild creasing. It's been 7 hours.
