As you can see, despite the colors in the tube, the glosses swatch fairly sheer. That purple is, of course, my favorite. It looks more like a cool blue based plum in person. The second color is a brown based red, and the third is a warm brown based plum.
This is one of two palettes from the collection. The other (with includes the lavender shade) is too cool for my skin tone. This one is a series of warm beige, gold, and taupe. It's an 'eye and face' palette, meaning that you can separate the colors for use as eyeshadow, or blend them together for a golden highlight. What I love about this palette is the gold color, which comes in many Armani palettes, is the 'biggest' shade in this pot. Normally, it's on the edge or in the corner, and you never get to use that much of it. This was quite the score for me.
My swatch of this palette really didn't do it justice... because the flash ate up a lot of the color. But the shadows are semi-opaque, and all feature a distinct golden hue:
I just checked the Armani website, and this collection is NOT up yet. I got it from my local Bloomingdales. It may be online at Nordstrom as well.

These are so goregous
ReplyDeleteThe purple is definitely my favorite of the three. I like that you can wear them alone or layer them for more effect. And that 8-hour wear is no joke. Once these glosses are on, it's a challenge to get them off.
