Okay, so you guys know (or not) that Chanel's Pro Lumiere Foundation went the way of the dinosaur. The new Perfection Lumiere is supposed to be the new (and improved) replacement:
Well, if that shade range is any indication, I'd say we're off to a good start. I see pink undertones, yellow undertones, and a wide range of colors from light to dark!
According to Chanel, this lil' formula is "Effortless to apply, with seamless blendability for a naturally flawless effect, this breakthrough foundation is the ideal all-day, everyday formula – suitable for all skin types in a diverse range of 20 shades."
20 SHADES? Whoo hooo!
Regarding the rest... you know I'll believe that when I see, err... try it. Especially the 'all skin types' bit. I'm among the oiliest of them all, so if it can hold down this skin, then it's worth a shot.
Right now for me, this formula is only available on www.chanel.com. It has yet to hit my local counters. When it does, I'll swatch, test, match... and report back!

would love to know what you think about this. :) i bought the vitalumiere aqua when i read your review about it. ;)
ReplyDeleteI just spotted this at a counter in Saks tonight. I got a sample b/c Saks is funny about returns. I got #94 Ambre. I tested it in store and it was so smooth and silky to the touch and it seemed to match perfectly. I'm going to wear it out tomorrow, but I have a feeling it's going to be my new bff.
ReplyDeleteGood to know Shontay! Let me know how it works out for you.
ReplyDeleteSugar... I will totally do a full rundown on it, the minute I get my hands on it. How do you like Vitalumiere Aqua?
I just bought the darkest shade (154 Ambre) from Lord & Taylor on Saturday. I've been wanting to try Chanel, but of course there was no range for my color, so I immediately jumped on it. I only used it once, but like it. It blends well. Now if only there was a concealer and powder to go with it! Hopefully people at the darker end of the spectrum will buy and Chanel will be compelled to add more color range to other products!
ReplyDeleteGood to hear! Yes, I do love that Chanel is offering more diverse shades and undertones... they need to keep it up! I was so bummed about Vitalumiere Aqua. I'm happy to the range in this new foundation. I can't wait to try it out myself!
ReplyDeleteWell, I wore the foundation today and I can safely say I will be spending the $55 on it this weekend. It will be my #1 liquid foundation. It's light and gives me a slight glow. It's so easy to blend and I only need a little. I'm excited.
ReplyDeleteWhoo Hoo!!! That is great news.
ReplyDeleteit's my HG foundation! i really like the finish and how light it feels on the skin. i'm in the shade beige tendre. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to hear it sugar! Good to know that it worked out well for you.
ReplyDeleteI just found out that they have Perfection Lumiere at my local Nordies! I'm going to try it this week for sure!
ReplyDeleteAs a foundation addict I will be trying this as soon as it hits the counters in Canada. I hope we get the pink undertone shades here too. For Vitalumiere Aqua we only got the beige ones for some reason. :( I ended up getting B20 in that foundation though BR20 woulda been much better.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear thoughts on this foundation :)
Okay you guys, I saw/swatched/tested the foundation. OMG. So light... so comfortable! Full review coming very soon!
