Photoshoot: Desert Bloom

OMG!

I'm so freakin' tired. But my latest photoshoot in the middle of freak ass nowhere ended up being quite the adventure. The photographer packed up our little crew and led the way... I sincerely thought we were just going to perish out there and someone would find us 10 years from now.

I put 300 miles on Liz (my car) for this shoot! The whole time I'm saying to myself:  "I love my job I love my job I love my job I love my job."

But despite it all, I really really like the way things worked out. I took a few behind the scenes photos. When the photographer releases the finished pictures... you know I'll post them!

Getting ready. That's David the stylist, trying to make sure the model is pinned up properly...

The other model. I shot this through the rolled up window of my car. I was NOT going back outside after doing their makup. It was WINDY as all get out and COLD! OMG. I felt so sorry for them... they were out there just braving the elements. But if I ended up with this shot with my bootleg camera and my complete lack of photography skills, just imagine what the finished product looks like.

Love this shot. Also through my window and while the sun was going down. No flash. The location we ended up shooting at was just AMAZING... and kind of worth the 300 miles (150 miles each way). I understand now why the photographer led our little ragtag caravan out there.

This shoot was an absolute adventure. I'm really glad I committed to it, and pushed through. The finished product will totally be worth it.
