Hey, three questions:
ReplyDeleteWhy the EL Double Wear Light? I've been following your foundation reviews, and I know you spoke highly of it but not the mega-raves you gave others.
I've used both the MAC Blot powders, but I returned the loose for the pressed because it didn't control oil as well. When I checked the ingredients the main oil controlling clay (kaolin) wasn't in the loose. Is there any reason you like the loose over the pressed?
Finally, many women with darker than light skintones have complained about an ashy cast being left by MUFE HD Powder. You haven't noticed it?
Jasmine... since I was made to choose just ONE, I went with the Estee foundation because it's the most practical. It's a convenient size and shape, and you can pretty much put it on in the dark. Guerlain is luxurious and fabulous, but the glass bottles can fall and break. So in terms of ease of use and convenience, Estee wins this one.
ReplyDeleteMAC Pressed blot powder tends to crease on me. I don't like it at all. And since I'm so oily, getting back into that pressed pan can be potentially unsanitary and/or seal the powder with any oil left on the brush from my face.
The loose gives me more control, I use a LOT less of it, and it doesn't crease at all.
What I like about the MUFE HD powder is that I DON'T get ashy. It's the MAC Prep & Prime that leaves me looking like an ash ball. I'm not a fan of that sutff at ALL. I use less of the MUFE HD powder, and it sets right in with no white residue. Those who are complaining might want to use a lot less of it. If you just 'dust' it on very lightly, it sets and leaves no ashy residue behind. At least that's been my experience with it.
Hope that clears things up a bit!
