Don't ask me why I was channeling Joan Jett today... but a dark gray smokey eye seemed to be appropriate for holiday food and drinks with the in laws...
Pretty look, can I ask you something?how did you line the lower lash line with the eye shadow or with a kohl pencil and then smudged it because I have seen a few tutorials in which they line it with a liner or kohl pencil and then smudge it with a brush
Thanks Alvira! I actually put the kohl powder directly on the waterline, then line under the lashline with the eyeshadow. Since they're both powders, there's no smudging involved.
Thanks you guys! Sugar, I have so many different kinds of brushes (I'm not loyal to any brand) that often I don't even know who made what. Lots of my brushes are so old that the labels have worn off anyway. My brushes range from Shu Uemura to no-name brand from the local beauty supply store. Better to go by shape. For this look I used a small shader to apply the color and a big fluffy shader to blend it out. I used a small smudge brush to put the color under the waterline. That's about it. I use a total of five brushes typicaly: 2-3 for the eyes, one for powder (if applicable) and one for blush. If I'm doing a contour, I'll use a contour brush for that.
